Smt. Usha Padhi, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha ,released the Odia version of 45 Open Educational Resources for secondary level, which will be used in teacher education in the state. Eminent educationists, members of School and Mass Education Department, Govt. of Odisha, and Mrs. Lalita Pattnaik, Education specialist, UNICEF were also present at the launch in Bhubaneswar today.Prof. (Dr.) A.B. Ota, IAS, Director, TE & SCERT, School and Mass Education Department, Govt. of Odisha facilitated the event. 

The original English materials were developed by selected Indian/UK authors and was reviewed by an International Review Panel comprising of both Indian and International experts, constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. The English version was translated in Odia by a group of teachers, teacher educators and experts. After the translation and localisation, these materials were reviewed by the group of experts nominated by SCERT, Odisha.
